Smokey Hollow Farms

Pursuing sustainability and educating others to live in harmony with everything around us!

Doris Babcock

I was born an lived in MI, until 1988 when we moved to Cherokee County, Georgia, where our 3 children grew up.  In 2010 my husband and I moved to Gordon County, where we currently live.

My basket weaving started in the early 1980's, and quickly stopped to find myself following my kids to their different activities.  I started back weaving in 2009 by making Easter baskets for our grandchildren.

In 2011 I ventured into the world of art shows. I currently participate in 4 shows a year, 2 in the spring and summer, and 2 in the fall. At the 2012 Canton Arts Festival I was awarded Best of Show. Besides the art shows you can find my baskets at the Gibbs Garden gift shop.

I make a variety of basket styles, specializing in Cherokee and antler baskets.
